  • claudine-reymartIn May 2012 Claudine Barretto and Raymart Santiago appeared together to air their side following a much-publicized scuffle at the airport with journalist Mon Tulfo. Raymart talked about valiantly defending his wife – there was a video to prove it – with the former action star going head to head with the man who used a camera phone to video Claudine while allegedly berating an airline crew. The unfortunate incident happened as the couple and their kids were coming home from a vacation. Who would have  thought that a year and a couple of months after, these same couple would be at odds?

Last Monday, a distressed- looking Claudine Barretto went to ask the court for a temporary protection order (TPO) against her spouse. Claudine was accompanied by her counsel, Atty. Ferdinand Topacio, in Marikina where the actress had requested that the court prevent Raymart from being within 300 meters of her and their kids. Claudine allegedly opted to ask for the TPO as she had enough of stress. Yesterday, Raymart broke his silence and release a statement that was aired on GMA News TV’s  “Balitanghali” denying the allegation that he hurts Claudine. The actor, who was just seen in GMA’s series, “Home Sweet Home,” said that he is ready to clear the issues in court.

Claudine admitted in an interview that she and Raymart have been living apart, although there have been no moves from either parties to make the separation final. With this new development quash any hope of reconciliation of the-once ideal couple who are scions of popular showbiz families?

The two were married in April of 2006 and have two children – Sabina and Santino.
