  • GMA International, in partnership with Musika St. Louis, LLC, is set to relive an age of timeless Filipino songs by staging FLASHBACK: The Best of Times this September 5, 2014, at Maryland Heights, Missouri. The event is expected to draw old souls and hopeless romantics, who yearn to revel in the soothing tunes of the 80’s. Three of the decade’s best voices will light up the stage inside Maryland Heights Community Center: Raymond Lauchengco, Joey Albert, and Nonoy Zuñiga.

Touted as one of the teen idols of the 1980’s, Raymond Lauchengco is definitely more than a charmer. He represented the Philippines during the prestigious Tokyo Music Festival in 1987 and was honored with the Aliw Award for Best Concert Collaboration. These achievements, coupled with his hugely successful solo and group concerts, made the “So It’s You” crooner an iconic personality in the Philippine music industry.

Joey Albert’s rise to fame began when she won in the Dream Girl Filipina contest in 80’s TV program “The Party”. The “Tell Me” singer honed her talents as a pop and jazz musician, lyricist, and songwriter, which led her to bag major awards from respected organizations such as the Catholic Mass Media Awards,    Awit Awards, and the Filipino Academy of Movie Arts and Sciences. Currently, Joey resides in Canada.

Nonoy Zuñiga is regarded as the quintessential Filipino singer, whose hits, which include “Never Ever Say Goodbye” and “Love Without Time”, were well-received and garnered high praise from music critics. The Pinoy balladeer is a recipient of a number of Aliw and Katha Awards for his fast-selling golden and platinum albums.
