Manny Pacquiao’s best fight?

  • I could only guess Manny Pacquiao is reeling from a knock-out punch that he didn’t expect from the worldwide “celebrity” criticism and condemnation for his remarks against same-sex relationships. Will this cost our hero his life’s accomplishments in the end?

Poor guy – all he did was to sound off what he truly believed in. In the realm of true Christianity what he said about God’s judgment against the sin of homosexuality is biblical. What he may have not realized is that to many people the concept of punishment for sins may be true so long as you don’t point a finger when it applies.

Unfortunately there is so much problem with the world today that God, Christianity and the bible have all become irrelevant to humanity in general. This should not be surprising at all as even the ancient Jews – supposedly a God-fearing nation – murdered many of their own prophets who condemned their sins during those days.

In the same sense, even if those prophets could have lived today, they will also meet the same end in the hands of today’s people. Today’s society is far worst than those ancient ones, so what can we expect when believers
like Manny Pacquiao speak their hearts out?

Donald Trump created a furor when he proclaimed that Mexicans are rapists and drug dealers, and just immediately after that he suggested to ban all Muslims from entering the states. Everybody who thought they were somebody all jumped in on Trump, yet his popularity kept on soaring high as evidenced in the polls. Why? It’s because deep inside people they believe that Trump was speaking the truth. And as one writer puts it, the people are actually afraid of drug dealers, rapists and terrorists and it was only Donald Trump who had the guts to spell it out for them.

Part of Manny Pacquiao’s success in boxing is that he studies and comes to know his opponents well before he enters the ring and prepares well for them. Unfortunately when he entered the political and celebrity ring he was not prepared at all, and as a born-again Christian he simply cannot step in that arena at all – else the lions will devour him.

As of now Pacquiao stands by what he said, which is praiseworthy, like a true fighter. We just hope that at the count of ten our hero will still be up and fighting and eventually win this bout after all!
