  • The City of Vancouver is pleased to announce that Paul Mochrie has been appointed Deputy City Manager, effective yesterday, April 7, 2016.

    Paul has been with the City since April 2011, when he was appointed General Manager, Human Resources. In that role, Paul took on increasing responsibilities in key areas including the 3-1-1 Contact Centre, Digital Strategy, Web Services and Information Technology. In September 2015, he assumed the role of Acting Deputy City Manager.

    Paul has extensive public sector experience including with the provincial government, Vancouver Coastal Health and Fraser Health Authority. He is a graduate of UBC and holds a MBA from Queens University. His more than 23 years of experience includes stakeholder relations management, commercial and labour negotiations, human resource service delivery and organizational transformation.

    Prior to joining the City, Paul was the Executive Director of Business Management, Supplier Relations and Systems with the Province where he helped establish British Columbia as a leading jurisdiction in Canada in developing pharmaceutical drug pricing agreements. He also supported the delivery of the $1 billion PharmaCare Program through successful partnerships with pharmaceutical manufacturers, pharmacies and wholesalers.
