  • A dedicated community supporter, the Cowell Foundation has generously donated $250,000 to Richmond Hospital to ensure local residents receive the best care possible, close to home. The Cowell Foundation was created and funded by the Cowell family, who also own and operate the Cowell Auto Group in Richmond.

“We want to extend our support and gratitude to Richmond Hospital for all the great work being done by the Physicians, health care professionals and staff during the pandemic,” says Gary Cowell, long-time local business owner, who opened his very first car dealership in Richmond more than 50 years ago. “They are true heroes in our lives, and we’re happy to be in their corner.”

As Richmond’s population has grown quickly over the years, donations are vital in helping Richmond Hospital keep pace with the community’s health needs. From purchasing urgently needed medical equipment to creating state-of-the-art hospital units, Richmond Hospital Foundation welcomes philanthropic gifts to transform patient care.

“The Cowell Foundation’s generous donation is a shining example of how the community can make a significant impact on health care in Richmond,” states Natalie Meixner, President and CEO of Richmond Hospital Foundation. “Thank you to the Cowell family for your kind-hearted support of our health care teams.”
