  • As the new ambassador of the Sun Life Prosperity Card, actor Matteo Guidicelli talked about setting realistic goals for his future at the brand’s press conference last Friday, August 20.

Because of this, Matteo, who has also ventured into entrepreneurship, was asked by reporters if he and girlfriend, singer-actress Sarah Geronimo, have discussed about getting married already.

Hindi pa naman. Siyempre pinagdaanan ‘yan but you know, we have to be realistic with ourselves. Being realistic is very, very important. The day will come, kumbaga,” he answered.

Addressing rumors that they already have wedding plans, Matteo said, “May tsismis nga na buntis siya eh. Hindi po, ma’am. 26, 28, (their ages) the time will come I guess.”

While he chose to keep it to himself as to when he wants to settle down, Matteo said, “Getting married in that chapter of life is something very serious, di ba, it’s not a joke. It will come. I think we shouldn’t pressure ourselves or anything. It will come.”

Earlier, Matteo had also commented on the issue that he was not able to perform well in the recently-concluded Cobra Ironman 70.3 Asia-Pacific triathlon held in Cebu as Sarah was not around unlike last year. In a report by ABS-CBN News, Matteo said that Sarah was abroad, taking a vacation then.

“I only have two weeks of training sa Ironman, eh, ‘Yung goal talaga namin, to break five hours sa Ironman pero ‘yung natapos ko, five hours and 30 minutes. Okay na but sana next year, mabreak namin ‘yung five hours. It was better than last year also. Masaya naman ‘yung Ironman,” he said. (G.A Lastrilla, push.com)
