  • Superstar Nora Aunor faced the media on Wednesday to promote an upcoming “Maalaala Mo Kaya” episode. In the episode, Aunor will play Yolly– a mother to five kids, with four of them having special needs. The 62-year-old actress (who turns 63 on May 21) recalled how excited she was when the offer was given to her.

“Masayang masaya po,” she said.

A former Kapamilya, Aunor was asked if the “MMK” episode marks her return to the network.

Aunor said she and former ABS-CBN President and CEO Charo Santos-Concio once had a misunderstanding.

Aunor said she has apologized to Concio and Star Creatives Chief Operating Officer Malou Santos, admitting that it was her fault.

Inaamin ko at kaya humingi ako ng tawad,” she said.

Aunor will fly to the United States in June to undergo throat surgery. This, according to her, might help her regain her singing voice.

“Gusto kong matuloy this time ang pangako ko sa sarili ko at sa mga fans. Kasi gusto ko na ring mag-concert talaga,” Nora said.•
