  • The day after the grand finale of the singing competition Are You the Next Big Star?, Geoff and Frencheska have officially been turned over by the show to GMA Artist Center. “As the official agency, or talent development group, of the network, siyempre lahat ng mga produkto ng mga palabas natin, mga search natin, are turned over to Artist Center—especially the winners,” says Arsi Baltazar, head of GMAAC’s Talent Management team.

geoff (1)Ready na ba ang dalawa sa mga gagawin nila as contract stars of the Kapuso Network?
Sa interview ni Nelson Canlas for GMA news 24 Oras, natanong ang dalawa kung handa ba sila sa mga ibabato sa kanila ng show business — both good and bad. “Actually, ako po kasi may experience na po ako before, so medyo nakakaya ko na po ‘yung ganoong mga issues. And ready na po ako. Before ako pumasok ako dito, alam ko na po mga puwedeng mangyari sa akin—so ready na po ako,” tugon ni Geoff, Even Frencheska shared that she’s getting used to the different sides of showbiz. And coming from a competition, the two are in agreement na nakatutulong din ang negative feedback para lalo silang makapag-improve.

Frencheska even went as far as to cite an example. During the time when viewers were saying she can only sing ballads, she was able to prove na kaya rin niyang sumubok na pagsabayin ang pagkanta at pagsayaw. Sa pagpasok nila ngayon sa GMA Artist Center, the two new AC talents promise to do even better.

Bukod kina Geoff and Frencheska, GMA Artist Center also plans on getting six other finalists from the recently concluded Are You the Next Big Star.

“Mas bibigyan namin ng pan-sin itong winners. Siyempre, taong bayan ang bumoto sa kanila, so we have to take advantage of that. Officially they are now contract stars of GMA Artist Center and GMA Network in general,” according to Arsi.
