Donaire to fight Settoul July 18

“This guy is a little bit tougher than Prado. This guy candonaire moved the ring really good, he’s fast, throws a lot of punches,” Nonito Sr. told The Manila Times in a phone interview on Tuesday. “But he doesn’t have enough power compared to Nonito Jr.” Nonito Sr. said that Settoul was Top Rank Promotion’s first choice.

“Nonito is presently doing his strength and conditioning routines at the gym. I’m very confident he will win this fight. He just needs  to stay sharp and keeps his focus.”

Although many boxing analysts see Settoul as an “easy opponent for “The Filipino Flash,” Nonito Sr. wants his son not to relax but instead exercise extreme caution.

“No, he won’t,” added Nonito Sr. “He already learned and he is very determined to get another world title shot.”

Donaire holds a 34- 3 win-loss record with 22 knockouts while Settoul has 20-3 record with eight
