Like other community-based organizations, the UFCABC is proud of the Consulate General’s continuing endorsement of its work to uplift and celebrate Filipinos in Canada. An alliance of various and diverse associations in the Filipino community, UFCABC was the offspring of the Pista ng Bayan Society, a group once co-led by the Consulate General in organizing Philippine Independence Day celebrations. This year, the Consulate General requested community members to take the lead in Independence Day celebrations, and the core of the future UFCABC lived up to the challenge by volunteering their precious hours and talents.
