  • Swiss Dental Lab and Unity Dental Laboratory opened a new location at 210-5108 North Fraser Way, Burnaby BC, providing greater synergy to the two companies.
Michael Lam, president and CEO of Swiss Dental Lab, as well as the CEO of Unity Dental Lab, Advance CE, and Dentist Direct, underscored the importance of the move in his speech.
“This move to a new facility highlights not only an expansion of our business, but the completion of a milestone for our companies that we have been working consistently on for the past two decades,” Lam said.
Lam continued, “Despite many challenges, including the past few years filled with a pandemic and economic uncertainties, we have managed to achieve a space where the work of our employees can flourish and our projects can take hold.”
The opening of the new location is a prelude to the much anticipated plan to start a dental venture in the northwest Canadian territory of the Yukon.

The expansion in Yukon is seen to serve as a magnet for dental tourism in the territory, a move that enjoys the support of the territorial government.

The Yukon expansion is expected to materialize in Spring 2023.

Before the ribbon cutting ceremony started, Lam asked Emmanuel Turner from VITA North America, also the master of ceremonies, to proceed further with the program.
In his remarks, Turner related that Swiss and Unity dental laboratories are two sister dental laboratories that provide comprehensive dental restoration products, services, and solutions with both traditional and digital workflows.
“Both have over 35 years of experience running operations in the Greater Vancouver area of British Columbia, Canada,” Turner said.
“The executive directors, Michael Lam, Jerry Lee, and Michael Cayetano, hold firmly in their belief that their clients’ needs are met with dependable quality, consistent craftsmanship, and professional customer service. They maintain a commitment to providing a range of solutions to match the pace of their clients’ growth and preferences.
“With this recent move, Unity and Swiss dental laboratories look ahead towards the future with a vision of branching out their businesses, not only in terms of clients but in terms of diversifying themselves through opportunities in areas such as dental education, dental marketing and digital dentistry with their strategic partners,” Turner said.
This is exemplified through their most recent ventures, Advance CE and Dentist Direct, which have been developed in conjunction with strategic partners and key shareholders.
Advance CE is a hybridized initiative that emphasizes global dental professional education through both practical and clinical knowledge as well as management skills.
Dentist Direct is a website for those in the dental industry throughout North America to list their businesses, with a specific focus on accessibility.
Both are online platforms that are being continuously developed with the aim of assisting dentists with the success of their practices and careers. Dentists can pre-register for Advance CE and sign up for Dentist Direct.
