March into the Women’s Month with GMA Pinoy TV!

  • Strong female leads take center stage in the newest Kapuso offerings set to launch this Women’s Month on GMA’s flagship international channel, GMA Pinoy TV!

    Viewers abroad get to enjoy new GMA shows this month beginning with the world premiere of the riveting legal drama series “Artikulo 247” on March 7. Headlined by Rhian Ramos, Benjamin Alves, Kris Bernal, and Mark Herras, the series powerfully portrays the journey of a woman who fearfully moves on from the consequences of her past entanglement with her boss and his wife. Playing equally vital roles are  Mike Tan, Glydel Mercado, Carla Martinez, Maureen Larrazzabal, Rain Matienzo, Denise Barbacena, Brent Valdez, Topper Fabregas, Victor Silayan.

    Meanwhile, watch out for the next installment of GMA Network and Regal Entertainment’s hit ‘Mano Po Legacy’ franchise. After the success of ‘Mano Po Legacy: The Family Fortune’ led by high-caliber actresses Barbie Forteza, Maricel Laxa, Sunshine Cruz, and Boots Anson-Roa, catch Mano Po: Her Big Boss this March 14. The romantic-comedy series features sought-after Kapuso stars Ken Chan, Bianca Umali, and Kelvin Miranda with Pokwang, Teejay Marquez, Arlene Muhlach, Ricardo Cepeda, Marina Benipayo, Sarah Holmes, Tyrone Tan, Sarah Edwards, Haley Dizon, Lime Aranya, Jem Manicad, Phi Palmos, and more. In the story, Bianca plays the street-smart secretary of a cold-hearted Chinese-Filipino businessman.

    In addition to these much-awaited drama series, also set to launch on GMA this March 21 is “Family Feud,” a popular franchise game show where two families compete by giving the most popular answer to the survey questions. Hosted by no less than Kapuso actor Dingdong Dantes, Pinoys abroad are bound to have a fun weekend bonding as they also try to guess the answers while watching!     

    From female-led dramas to fun game shows, the much-awaited return of exciting and action-packed live sports events also happen this month! The National Collegiate Athletic Association (NCAA) kicks off its 97th Season on March 20 with a six-episode daily show Game On! that’s sure to prime us up for the Season 97 Opening Ceremony and the start of Men’s Basketball Games on March 26. We’ll also be covering Women’s Volleyball Games live, as well as the successful online Chess and Taekwondo events right after. Collegiate Sports is finally back! And for the NCAA, it truly is…Game On!

    GMA Pinoy TV continues the Women’s Month celebration with movies bannered by equally strong women on GMA Pinoy Blockbuster every Sunday beginning March 6.

    Catch Barbie Forteza on “This Time I’ll Be Sweeter” which is about a reporter who reconnects with a college flame during an assignment and wonders if she should give him another chance despite her past heartbreak.  

    Next up is the 2011 remake of the iconic film “Temptation Island” starring Marian Rivera, Lovi Poe, Solenn Heussaff, and Heart Evangelista who play four beauty pageant contestants vying for the title of Miss Manila Sunshine and ended up stranded on a deserted island after their vessel catches fire. 

    Award-winning actress and comedienne Eugene Domingo is a pregnant wardrobe assistant, with a fear of losing her Japanese lover and her dreams of a better life, who embarks on a plan that will get herself out of her predicament in “Instant Mommy.”

    Concluding the Women’s Month lineup is “All of You” led by Ultimate Star Jennylyn Mercado. The film is about two strangers who meet on a dating app and experience instant chemistry, but their relationship unravels as annoying differences catch up to them.
