    Times have changed. Or have they? Those frisky Italians pull off another charmer with Call me by Your Name. Fresh fodder with lots of food for thought this Mongrel Media release smartly explores a young boy’s step into adolescence. Share the experience at the Fifth Avenue Theatre.

    Tastes change too. So do public mores. Set in 1983 this sweeping saga delves deep into the summer holiday plans of a liberal American family holiday one season in Northern Italy. Accustomed to the good life in this warm climate are the visiting mother, father and sister. But when Elio, the impressionable youthful son becomes, how do I say. “Interested” in Oliver, a more seasoned 24-year-old helping the professorial head of the household explore and record some news discovered treasures they somehow “bond” in a rather revealing way.

    Romances, no matter what their kind, need chemistry and a degree of believability to be both effective and lasting. Here both Armie Hammer (The Man from U.N.C.L.E.) and breakout star Timothee Chalamat turn In Superb of accounts of two contacting age males who delve into very personal feelings for Themselves and each other. Director Luca Guadagnino masterfully explores this budding friendship at may be more than just a friendship with style, grace and considerable tact.

    Through it all audiences will fall vastly In Love with the magnificent scenery and be on pins and needles when the subject of revealing an all male relationship surfaces. Further enhancing this story is an exceptionally fine supporting cast and some very meaningful telling dialogue that eschews the need for thought and compassion and following your heart no matter how others may feel or react.
