BBM caravan set for November 20 in Richmond

Local supporters of Ferdinand “Bongbong” Marcos Jr. are scheduled to hold a caravan on Saturday (November 20) in Richmond.

The motorcade starts at 5599 Lynas Lane at 2 p.m. and will end at the South Arm Park.

Caravans are also scheduled in other cities across Canada.

The events happen as Marcos, also known as BBM, has emerged as top choice for president in the 2022 election.

On November 16, Marcos and Sara Duterte-Carpio, who is the daughter of President Rodrigo Duterte, announced their official alliance as aspirants for president and vice president, respectively.

The two will run in a tandem that many consider as a formidable one.

“Mayor Inday Sara Duterte and I have finished the process for the partnership that our supporters have been hoping for — BBM-Sara for 2022,” Marcos said in Filipino in a statement.

Duterte-Carpio was supposed to run for another term as Davao City mayor but withdrew her candidacy and filed a new one for the vice presidency.

“And we have agreed, together with our parties, to push for a united leadership in case fortune favors use in the coming elections on May 9, 2022,” Marcos added.

“My party made an alliance and asked for support for Bongbong Marcos and me after I heeded your call,” Duterte-Carpio said, speaking in Filipino, in a video statement.

“But I want to clarify: We are not destroying or staining anybody’s name. Nobody is being run over, nobody is being shortchanged, quarreled with, made to cry, or oppressed,” she added.
