Karylle talks about mom Zsa Zsa Padilla amid ASAP issue

  • “She’s good,” paniniyak ni Karylle sa kalagayan ng kanyang inang si Zsa Zsa Padilla.
    Naging usap-usapan nitong mga nakalipas na linggo ang diumano’y hindi pagkakasali ng Divine Diva sa ASAP Natin ‘To, ang reformatted Sunday musical-variety show ng ABS-CBN.
    Lalo pang tumibay ang hinalang may sama ng loob ni Zsa Zsa nang mag-post siya ng quote na ito sa Instagram:
    “I acted like it wasn’t a big deal, when really it was breaking my heart.”
    Ipinost ito ni Zsa Zsa noong November 17, isang araw bago ang launch ng ASAP Natin ‘To.
    Noong November 24, nag-tweet naman si Zsa Zsa tungkol sa pagmu-move on at pag-alis ng bitterness.

    Aniya, “Hindi ko nga alam yung present status kasi may mga kaganapan na hindi pa…
    “I can’t say, kasi hindi pa siya tapos.
    “Wait-wait lang siguro tayo kung ano na ba ang mangyayari.”
    Pero kinumpirma ng It’s Showtime host na napag-usapan nila ng kanyang ina ang tungkol sa isyu.

    “My mom always has me.
    “I was listening to the first, first song I ever wrote.
    “It says na parang, ‘We don’t have a perfect life, but I know you’ll always be there for me when my world falls and vice versa.’
    “So I was listening to that, I played it on my Spotify kanina. Sabi ko, ‘Aba, nagpaparamdam.’

    “’Coz she’s my first love talaga and siya talaga yung naging first inspiration ko for a song, so I guess it comes back to that whatever happens.”

    Dugtong ni Karylle tungkol sa isyu, “Nothing is final, so I can’t really say anything right now.
    “Wait-wait lang tayo.”
    Tiniyak din ng singer-actress na suportado niya ang ina sa ganitong sitwasyon, kagaya kung paano siya suportahan ng ina.
    Kuwento pa ni Karylle, nagkita sila ni Zsa Zsa noong Martes, December 4, at hindi naman daw niya nakikitang may dinaramdam ang ina.
    “Kahapon nga nag-shoot kami ng video, hindi ko man naisip na may problem or anything.
    “Wala naman kasi. She’s okay.
    “She just came from Cebu, she did, like, a short crash course on farming.
    “But she’s been into that for the whole of last year, so I can’t say naman na she’s doing that now.”
    Nito ring November ay nag-post si Zsa Zsa tungkol sa land property nila ng boyfriend na si Conrado Onglao.
    Balak daw nila itong gawing farm.
    “It’s something she’s really been planning and it’s their happy place…” sabi ni Karylle.
    Samantala, sa artikulo ng PEP Troika, nabanggit na hindi matatanggal si Zsa Zsa sa ASAP Natin ‘To.
    Mapapabilang pa rin siya rito, gayundin ang iba pang performers, sa pamamagitan ng rotation.

    CHRISTMAS SINGLE
    Busy ngayon si Karylle sa pagpu-promote ng duet nila ng Indonesian singer na si Calvin, ang “It’s Christmas Time.”
    Excited nga raw ang Kapamilya singer-host na makipag-collaborate sa foreign singer.
    “What I love about him, the whole artistry. He’s very young, he’s making his own music, clear, very honest.
    “I just love the honesty and the confidence that he brings forth.
    “It’s very fresh for me, especially to work with somebody so young,” sabi ni Karylle tungkol sa 27-year-old Indonesian singer.
    Dagdag ni Karylle, “I really like learning about people also from other culture.

    “There is a lot to learn. There is so much to learn not just musically but about them.”

    Napabilib naman si Calvin kay Karylle bilang singer.
    Aniya, “I really enjoyed Karylle’s kind of music.
    “But the first time I listened to ‘It’s Christmas Time,’ you can feel the rawness of Karylle, like, she’s trying to deliver the message [of the song].
    “I can relate to that kind of music ‘coz I really like jazz.
    “In Indonesia, my songs are more into pop jazz, so I can really relate to ‘It’s Christmas Time,’ and I prefer Karylle singing it.”
