Filipino con­tingents from across the border have indicated preparations for their trip to Vancouver to witness and experience the true Filipino spirit of Christmas.

    Gabby Concepcion was born on November 5, 1964, in San Juan, Manila and is the son of Lourdes Arellano and Rolando Concepcion. He was a famous kin of Juan Arellano, who is a na­tional artist for architecture. He helped create several landmarks in Manila such as the Metropoli­tan Theater and Post Office. He was Gabby’s great-grandfather.Gabby’s step to stardom made way when he was seen initially in a commercial of Close-Up. This incident led him in becoming a movie actor. He eventually be­came a Regal baby and starred in the movie Katorse, which ac­quired him the title of matinee idol. He was also paired with megastar Sharon Cuneta whom he married in 1984. He then he took up a management information degree in Lincoln University in order to land a much better job. Eventu­ally, he became a triumphant multi-awarded accredited realtor in California. He seemed to be at ease with his work and family liv­ing in United States; but, in early 2008, Gabby surprised everyone by making a comeback in Philip­pine showbiz and signing a con­tract under the management of ABS-CBN. He initially appeared in Maalaala Mo Kaya and co-stars with Claudine Barretto in a TV series called Iisa Pa Lamang. He has an initial 2-year contract with ABS-CBN; and if it is his luck, then his Philippine comeback would be a success.Gabby Concepcion has four children, namely, Kristina Cas­sandra, or KC Concepcion , who is his daughter to commercial model and actress megastar Sharon Cuneta. Gabrielle is his daughter with Grace Ibuna. Mod­el actress Jenny Syquia also has a daughter with Gabby named Chloe.

    Lastly, there is Samantha Alexis, who is his daughter to his current spouse Genevieve Yatco Gonzales.His latest popular TV shows, since his comeback, were all from ABS CBN, “Simply KC” and “Kung Tayo’y Magkakalayo” (2010), “Dahil May Isang Ikaw” and “May Bukas Pa” (2009) and “Iisa Pa Lamang” and “Maaalala Mo Kaya: Taxi” (2008).Geneva Cruz, whose real name is Geneva Mendoza Cruz-Miller was born on April 2, 1976, and comes from the legendary Cruz clan (one of Tirso Cruz Sr.’s great grand-daughters) which include celebrities like Tirso Cruz III, Sun­shine Cruz, Sheryl Cruz, and Don­na Cruz. She is also the cousin of actor-dancer Ratver Cruz, and singer Glenda Cruz.Geneva began her career as one of the lead singers of the popular group “Smokey Moun­tain”. The “Smokey Mountain” al­bum went double platinum while her first album, “I like You”, went platinum. The album produced several hit singles, including the title track and “Anak ng Pasig” (from the movie of the same title) in which Geneva appeared. “Anak ng Pasig” was chosen as Best Pop Song by the 1992 Catholic Mass Media Awards.“There are more surprises coming up, and we shall do ev­erything to make this a wonder­ful Christmas time for the entire community.
