  • Kim Chiu takes on her new role easily as she gets it completely

Kim Chiu was reared by her grandmother that’s why her role in “Da One That Got Away” is nothing new to her.

“Laking lola din po ako so malapit sa akin ang role na ito,” Kim mused when asked what’s the difference between her Mayen character in “The Ghost Bride” and Carmel in “Da One That Got Away.

As Carmel, the spiritista granddaughter of lola played by Marissa Delgado, Kim inherited her lola’s trade due to old age as “nakakalimutan niya ang spells and chants”.

“’Yun ang pinagkapareho nila,” she quipped.

But the characters she plays in the two movies are disparate, she stressed.

Having done several horror films, Kim is tagged the Horror Princess.

“Wala naman pong umaangkin so baka puwede kong angkinin. Money-back guarantee kung hindi sila matawa,” she said.

Kimgets a new leading man in the movie – Ryan Bang. Working with the Korean actor was a welcome change for Kim.

Nandoon ‘yung kagustuhan niyang mapaganda ang pelikulang ito,” she said. She noted Ryan did his best to play his part well.

    Does she believe in ghosts?
