  • IN THE wake of Tropical Storm Maring and Habagat battering Luzon, television personalities made sure to lend their hand to help those who are badly affected by the heavy rain and flood. Leading those who extended their services is presidential sister Kris Aquino. The television host went to Laguna to help in a soup kitchen and relief distribution with her “Kris TV” staff, celebrity chef Florabel and eldest sister Ballsy. Laguna was placed under state of calamity Tuesday afternoon af­ter 69 barangays in the province  experienced high level of flood. Laguna Governor ER Ejercito said more than 16.450 families (80.400 individuals) were dis­placed and housed in 47 evacu­ation centers in their area. Aside from the said province, The Queen of All Media also  helped in relief operation in Tagu­ig City with Mayor Lani Cayetano and Representative Lino Cayeta­no.

    Aquino also went to Greater Fairview in Quezon City and gave out food to flood victims with Rep­resentative Alfred Vargas and was  accompanied by sisters Ballsy, Pinky and Viel in relief operations in Paranaque City. Meanwhile, actress Angel Loc­sin is among the first volunteers of the Philippine Red Cross in packing and distributing relief as­sistance in Metro Manila.
