PNS — AT the presscon of “When I Met U,” some writers were forcing Richard Gutierrez and KC Concepcion to admit that they’re already on. The same goes with Kim Chiu and Gerald Ander­son in the presscon of “Tayong Dalawa.” But at the presscon of “Love Me Again,” no one forced Piolo Pascual and Angel Locsin to admit that they’re going steady.

“It’s because everyone knows Angel is on with Luis Manzano,” says one writer. “Kaya hindi ma­giging credible kung imbentuhan sila ng love angle ni Piolo.” Will Angel make Luis her es­cort at the Red Carpet premiere of “Love Me Again” at SM Me­gamall on Wednesday night? “No,” she says. “If he’d want to watch, he can go on his own, pero siyempre, ayoko namang makanakaw pa siya ng attention mula sa amin ni Piolo. After all, it’s our movie ni Piolo kaya dapat lang na kami ang maging center on that night. Luis naman under­stands this at napag-usapan na namin yan. Okay lang sa kanya na puro trabaho ako ngayon kasi three days naman kaming magkasama sa Macau noong holidays with his family, led by his mom, si Gov. Vilma Santos.”

What’s her Christmas gift to Luis? “I got him a pair of Louis Vuitton sneakers that I bought sa States. He gave me naman an expensive Nikon camera which I used in taking our pictures in Macau and his mom gave me a beautiful Ferragamo bag na ipinadala pa sa bahay namin.” Gov. Vi approves of her, also Luis’ dad, OMB Chairman Edu Manzano who even said he hopes they can soon give him a grand­child. “Gusto kong malakas pa ako when I become a lolo para maalagaan ko naman ang ma­giging apo ko,” Edu even added.

“Naku, Luis and I are not in a hurry sa ganyan,” she says. “Both of us still have other plans.sa ganyan, pinagpaplanuhang mabuti. I don’t want to end up like my parents na nagkahiwalay. As of now, ang focus ko, ‘Love Me Again’. I really want it to be a hit kasi first movie namin ito ni Piolo and first movie ko rin with Star Cin­ema, kaya nakaka-pressure. So sana, maging magandang buena mano ito. I’m really pleased with this first project ko sa Star kasi very special at kinunan pa on lo­cation sa Bukidnon and Australia. Sa ganda pala ng locations dito, sulit na ang ibabayad ng viewers.”

But the film’s director, Rory Quintos, feels bad that the hot love scene of Piolo and Angel was edited by Star Cinema in the final cut. “I really feel bad about it. Sorry sa Star, but what view­ers will see here is the producer’s cut. Sayang nga kasi, tenth film ko na ito and I’ve done so many love scenes and this is the one I’m most proud of, pero yun nga, it was edited down at wala naman akong magawa. Sabi nila, it’s too acrobatic daw. For me naman, it’s just sensual. E, sabi nila, hindi raw papasa sa MTRCB kaya bago pa dalhin doon, pinutulan na nila. When I did it, I said it was shot in shadows naman so I feel papasa and I’m hoping mas mature na ang mga tao ngayon and they’d appreciate the artistic value ng buong love scene. E, baka gawin daw R-18, so na-cut na nga.
