  • Your dad and I may not be together anymore but we made a pact that whatever happens we will become the best parents that we can be to you.”

This was part of actress Aiko Melendez’s message to her son who has just graduated from junior high school last Monday (April 4, 2016). The proud mom took her excitement to social media and bared photos of her 17-year-old son with ex-husband Jomari Yllana.

Aiko shared photos on her Instagram account, accompanied by touching messages for her son and her friends who joined them in their small “salu-salo”.

To our son @andreyllana, dada @jomariyllana @jickainmarthena are so proud of you… Your dad and I may not be together anymore but we made a pact that whatever happens we will become the best parents that we can be to you,” captioned Aiko in a photo together with the special men in her life. “We may not be the perfect mom and dad for you but pls know that we are doing our very best to raise you the best way we can

She continued by requesting her son to aim for a college diploma and an acting award next.

The 40-year-old Kapamilya star seems to be in good terms with her former husband as seen in a photo wherein she raised two thumbs up to the camera with Jomari by her side.

As a mom, Aiko also took the chance to snap a photo with Andre and posted it together with more words of love and encouragement: “Congratulations to my Baby boy @andreyllana You have always been the baby boy that I’ve ever dreamt of having… You were never a headache to me… You never complain on what I can only give and offer you…
I am so proud of how you have become, son. And I’m wishing nothing but the best on your next journey son… I will always be behind you no matter what happens

“I love you son! Congratulations on your graduation! Thank you to all your teachers! And classmates! #colfgraduation #clubfilipino,” she added.

Aiko currently stars in ABS-CBN’s primetime teleserye The Story of Us together with Kim Chiu, Xian Lim, and Zsa Zsa Padilla. (C. Dimalanta, mb)
