  • Mark your calendars: the Multicultural Helping House Society is hosting a Multicultural Fiesta Celebration this coming August 23, Saturday, from 10 AM to 4 PM, at Grays Park in Vancouver. Performances, food and fun! The highlight of the fiesta will be a Neighbourhood Talent Competition! All are welcome to join. For more information, please call 604 879 3277.

    Last August 9, the MHHS We Care Group started a sports competition that will conclude with the Championships on August 31st, Sunday from 7:30 to 8:00 PM.

    All elimination rounds and the championship games will be played at the Trout Lake Community Centre in Vancouver. Elimination rounds on August 9, 16 and 23 at 3:30 to 8:00 pm. Champions will be awarded trophies and medals.

    Basketball teams from Vancouver, Surrey, New Westminster and Abbotsford are competing. There are also women’s volleyball teams fielded by other organizations. Come and cheer for your team!
