People can be fickle at times. Some folks shy away from films with subtitles. Big mistake here. Made in Norway the language barrier is al oat non-existent as viewers will get caught up in the life of a man just trying to do his job and encountering unforeseen obstacles. Think Mother Nature on steroids and you’ll get the picture.

Man of the moment Kristian   has his hands busy raising two small children along with an adoring wife. Good looks and solid convictions make up the DNA that run through the genes of actor Kristoffer Joner. Busy As ever our Good Samaritan wants to move up in the world so decides to take a new job and to leave his posting at a seismic warning centre.

Alas, all is not well on the Akneset mountainside which sits just above a Norwegian town. Small little noticed tremors turn into one big mess as suddenly the Earth shales in a big way. How the locals handle the lending catastrophe is revealed in top fashion. Edge of your seat thrills rule the day as filmmaker Roar Uthaug pulls out all the stops in this survival sage. If you like movies like last year’s San Andreas you will be delighted with The Wave which is as good as any Hollywood disaster movie.

Tension abounds in this amazing thriller. As we are currently in Oscar season it would be not hard pressed to see a cinematography honour cast The Wave’s way as the scenery here is really enchanting,

Ideal for the entire family The Wave is well worth a trip to your local cinema. Surf’s Up!
